History of Organization:

Initially TB Association had own clinic named ShriPadmavatideviSanatorium at Gotri Road.And for the diagnosis of tuberculosisa clinic ran at shriJamnabai Hospital. Then after Vadodara state was merged with Mumbai Stateon 14/11/1949. On merge of two states it was decided that Advisory Committee had to keep separate and funds of Rs. 12,66,100/- has given back to the government and Rs. 3,00,000/- has allocated to shriPadmavatidevi T.B. Sanatorium as a capital expenditure. And fund of Rs. 9,66,100/- had to Transferred to the state government.Every year Rs. 7000/- obligatory grant is to be given to the T.B. Association, Vadodara District from the interest of that fund and the same advisory committee will give suggestion/advice to the administrators of S. P. Sanatorium. This recommendation was approved by the Government of Mumbai of that time.

Objectives:

(A)

To continue administration of the organization like T.B. clinic to diagnosis, prevention, control and treatment of T.B.

(B)

To be a part of social tuberculosis prevention with the help of educational activist and social organization.

(C)

To Prevent Tuberculosis organize programme jointly with government, semi-government and local corporation.

(D)

To organize health talk programme regarding Tuberculosis for people of various classes in the society.

Organization Building:

Shri. Jigish M. Dalal (Sunij) Foundation, Ahmedabad has given donation of Rs. 5,00,000/-. We bought an office building in the year of 2001 – 2002 and given name i.e. “Jigish N. Dalal (Sunij) Foundation Hall” we are thankful to them.

Service available:

Dr. C. M. Shah (M.D.T.D.D.) and Dr. B. N. Shah (MBBS, D.G.O., T.D.D.) has examine needy patient of Tuberculosisand give medicine at subsidized rate. Doctor gives drugs at subsidized rate and free investigation for the patients who are economically backward.

Evangelism for the prevention of tuberculosis:

To make rapid propaganda of Tuberculosis prevention work; the association prepares and sends posters, handbills, and leaflets to the government public hospitals.
For Village-Pilol, SavaliTaluka and surrounding area of that village’s citizen with the help of local trust we do health checkup camp to prevent tuberculosis. And give them information about caution.

25th T.B. Conference:

To eliminate Tuberculosis from India and to give benefit of specialist and experience doctors of various state of India to the Doctors and paramedical staff servicing in Gujarat State; we organized 25th state tuberculosis conference on 23rd& 24th March 2013 at Baroda Medical college auditorium with the cooperation of Gujarat State T.B. Association, Department of Pulmonary Medicine Baroda Medical College, Baroda Chest Group. 335 participants (doctors & paramedics) have attended the conference.

દવા મફત મળે ક્ષયની, છે નિયમિત લેવાની,
કોર્ષ કરવો પૂરો, આ ચાવી સાજા થવાની ….(૭)
સમજી લેજો, શીખી લેજો, થોડું ક્ષય વિષે,
અવિધ્ય મહાદુખ છે, જો ક્ષય પાસ દિસે…(૮)
